Chapa Express is a cruise ship brand invested by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the interior is newly built with 7 luxurious wooden-paneled cabins, the design in each cabin is very delicate, fully equipped according to 4-star standard . The toilet is designed separately at the end of the stone-paneled car, which is very clean and convenient.

Chapa Express train has 2 VIP class with 7 spacious compartments (can fold 2 beds on the wall of 2 bed compartments). 2 Deluxe class carriages each have 7 compartments with 4 soft beds fully equipped, creating a cozy look, convenient for you to travel with the whole family, or a group of friends.

Chapa designed two types of 2-bed and 4-bed cabins, couples who like privacy can buy a whole VIP 2-bed cabin, just like renting a hotel room.

Owns 6 high quality SP3/4 carriages, 144 seats and has a waiting room and restaurant at Lao Cai Station. We provide journeys to Hanoi –  Lao Cai and Lao Cai – Hanoi by high-class luxury tourist trains.

Chapa is the only train with a premium lounge system at Lao Cai stations. Customers are attended to, baggage is handled, and complimentary showers are provided (with available Wi-Fi)

Chapa Express Train Itinerary

Way from Hanoi Station to Lao Cai Station (22:00 – 06:05)

• 21:00: Arrived at Hanoi Train Station for check-in procedure. Your online ticket would be exchanged for paper tickets at this point
• 22:00: Departed to Lao Cai Train Station
• 06:05: Arrived at Lao Cai Train Station
• 08:15: Arrived at Sapa for people who book the Transfer to Sapa from Lao Cai Train Station.

Lao Cai Station to Hanoi Station (21:30 – 05:35)

• 18:00: Start at Sapa Town for people who book the Transfer to Lao Cai Train Station from Sapa.
• 20:40: Arrived at Lao Cai Train Station for check-in procedure. Your online ticket would be exchanged for paper tickets at this point
• 21:30: Departed to Hanoi Train Station
• 05:30: Arrived at Hanoi Train Station

1. Where is the WC located on Chapa Express Train?

WC is NOT in cabin. It is located at the end of the carriage.

2. How to find Chapa Express Train at Hanoi Train Station?

In Hanoi: The entrance is located at 120 Le Duan Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The ticket counter is located  2nd floor of the main hall at Gate 2B, Hanoi Station. You will see the sign near the entrance.

In Sapa: Our Chapa Lounge is located at the waiting room no 2 at the Lao Cai railways station.

You can also ask the officials at the railways station for help if you could not find our ticket office. Voucher should be with you for better guide!

3. Can we leave our luggage in advance at Train Station?

You can leave your luggage on 2nd floor of the main hall at Gate 2B, Hanoi Station (located at 120 Le Duan street)

4. Is there Wi-Fi on Chapa Express Train?

Most of the Chapa Express Train rides have Wi-Fi on board. We recommend reaching out directly to Chapa Express Train to find out if your ride is one of those rides.

5. When we get off Lao Cai Station, how to find the driver take us to Sapa?

The driver will hold your name board to pick up at Lao Cai station
